January 1 – I was desiring His glory.

continued: year 1939 from He and I by Gabrielle Bossis

“Don’t ask Me for it as though it were something that will never come.

When you ask, believe that the answer will come. Ask for My glory and My kingdom this year.

Then pay attention to the little things, little vanities, little exaggerations. These will be big victories.”

January 8 – Seine-et-Oise.

“Don’t be vain about anything. What does it matter to you what people think about you?

Be satisfied with the thought that I know you.”

Meg’s comments: Faith is more than content of beliefs. Faith is a verb. To enter into the spiritual journey we practice our faith. We exercise our faith like we work out with our bodies. In the directive above we welcome the Christ in our midst. Then, we shift our inner chatter with ourselves to conversation with Our Lord. He tells us to ask. We do. He tells us to ask and expect it to come to pass. This conviction that what we ask for will be granted is the stuff of sturdy faith.

This is a practice: to ask with the conviction that God will hear our prayers. Stouthearted we ask over and over again, like a child.
